Certification Councils

Certification Councils

The principle role of the Ascertiva group is in the provision of third party certification to its clients.

Those certification activities are in the fields of Product Certification, Personnel Certification and Management System Certification.

Examples of such certification could be, for example, in respect of ability of an electrical contractor to produce an electrical installation in accordance with BS 7671, or it could be in respect of the competence of an individual to carry out installation or maintenance of a gas burning appliance, or it could be certificating that a particular company operate a environmental management system in accordance ISO 14001.

Such Certification allows clients of the Ascertiva Group to differentiate themselves from their competitors where those competitors don’t hold such certification, and hence gain competitive advantage.

In order for the certification to be meaningful, Ascertiva Group holds internationally recognised accreditations for its certification activities. One of the requirements of those accreditations is that Ascertiva operates “Certification councils” whose role is to overview those certification activities to ensure that the certification issued is meaningful, is impartial and can be relied upon.

Ascertiva is always looking for individuals who would be willing to sit on those “Certification Councils” and help them carry out this crucial role. This role is on a voluntary basis and is unpaid, although reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The desirable attributes of such individuals are given below, but if you think you can demonstrate those attributes please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail on yvonne.pryer@ascertiva.com, advising which council you feel best suits your experience.

We look forward to hearing from you.
